Event Details

The three Enterprise Innovation Networks funded by Enterprise Ireland are hosting a joint seminar on Wednesday 9th November 2011 in the Dubin City Council offices on Wood Quay from 08.00am - 10.00am.The intention of this event is to focus on the need to Collaborate to Innovate for a successful future.

The three Enterprise Innovation Networks are: The Irish Software Association (ISIN), Industry Research & Development Group (IRDG) and the Construction IT Alliance (CITA) EIN.

The agenda is:
 

08.00 - 08.30am Networking, T & C with exhibition stands

08.30 - 08.40am Opening address by Martin Lyes from Enterprise Ireland.
Martin is responsible for Enterprise Ireland's activities that support Irish companies in the areas of innovation and R&D, and the commercialisation of research in third level institutions

08.40 - 08.50am Introduction to each of the Enterprise Innovation Networks

Michael Martin of ISIN, Denis Hayes of IRDG and Suzanne Purcell of CITA EIN

08.50 - 09.00 Case Study 1:

C & C - Sinead Ryan - Head of Central Technical Services at C&C Group

09.00 - 09.20am Collaborating with Third Level Research Institutes - Richard Stokes, DCU Invent.

Richard leads the commercialisation, technology transfer and business development group at Invent DCU which is the business gateway for Dublin City University

09.20 - 09.30am Case Study 2:

Changing World/Heystaks - Barry Smyth - Founder of Changing Worlds and HeyStaks, Director of Clarity

09.30 - 09.40am Case Study 3:

Bord na Mona - Hugh Henry - Director of Innovation and R&D at Bord Na Mona

09.40 - 10.00am Panel Discussion - Q & A

10.00 - 10.30am Networking, T & C with exhibition stands

There will also be an exhibition space where the Technology Transfer Officers will be available to provide information on their research institutes.

The Wood Quay venue is a five-minute walk from Dame St. Dublin Bus numbers  37, 39, 39A, 69x, 70 and 83 all stop at Wood Quay. The nearest Luas stop is the Four Courts, across the river. The nearest car park is in Jury’s Inn hotel at Christchurch place or Q Park on Ushers Quay.
